  • Buerton was a township in Audlem ancient parish, Nantwich hundred (SJ 6842), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • It includes the hamlets of Chapel End (part), College Fields (part in Shropshire), Hankins Heys, Kinsey Heath (part), Longhill (part), Moblake, Pinder's End, Raven's Bank (part), Three Wells, Sandyford (part), Woolfall (part).
  • The population was 405 in 1801, 444 in 1851, 408 in 1901, 405 in 1951, and 492 in 2001.
