"WALFORD, a parish in the hundred of GREYTREE, county of HEREFORD, 2 miles (S. S. W.) from Ross, containing 1060 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, with the perpetual curacy of Ruardean annexed, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £13. 2. 1., and in the patronage of the Precentor in the Cathedral Church of Hereford.
