"About two miles and a half south from Hoddesdon, in the same hundred, is the small village of WORMLEY; the New river passes through the parish, and the river Lea bounds it on the east. Population of the parish, in 1831, 471 - being a decease of twenty-one inhabitants in the preceding ten years."
