Schoolteachers and Headmasters

Hide

These are teachers, headmasters & headmistresses of various schools in Lincolnshire. Their appearance here does not mean that they were born in Lincolnshire. I have purposely omitted individuals listed as "music teacher", "dancing teacher" or "governess" to focus on individuals who taught in a recognized school. You can discuss that decision with me if you like.

To find a particular parish, use the "Find" or "Search this page" feature of your web browser.

This page awaits your update. If you have a schoolteacher in your ancestry, you can share that by contacting the Site Coordinator (See bottom of page). I have no further information on these people. You may find more information by checking individual school web sites.

Let me restate: I have no further information on these people. I would suggest that you look them up in the census records or parish registers, where you may find different name spellings and supporting information. Consider this list "just an index" and not a true source document.
