"MARSTON-TRUSSELL, a parish in the hundred of Rothwell, county Northampton, 3 miles W. of Market Harborough, its post town, and 12 N.W. of Kettering. It is situated near the Union canal, and contains the hamlet of Thorpe Lubbenham. The village is small and wholly agricultural. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough, value £429. The church, dedicated to St. Nicholas, has a square embattled tower. The parochial charities produce about £6 per annum. Barwell Ewins Bennett, Esq., is lord of the manor."
