"GREINTON, (or Grenton), a parish in the hundred of Whitley, county Somerset, 6 miles S.W. of Glastonbury, its post town, and 7 E. of Bridgwater. The parish is of small extent. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £165. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, is an old structure of stone with windows of stained glass.
