"MIDDLE CHINNOCK, a parish in the hundred of Houndsborough, and union of Yeovil, in the county of Somerset, 4 miles from Crewkerne, and 5 from Yeovillage It is situated on the river Parret. The living is a rectory in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and Wells, value £189, in the patronage of the Earl of Ilchester. The church is dedicated to St. Margaret.
