"QUEEN CHARLTON, a parish in the hundred of Keynsham, in the county of Somerset, 1 mile S.W. of Keynsham. Bath is its post town. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £65, in the patronage of Mrs. Dickinson, who is lady of the manor. The church, dedicated to St. Margaret, is a small edifice and has recently been restored. The charities produce about £23 per annum. This place was settled by Henry VIII. on Queen Catherine.
