"LONG DITTON, a parish in the hundred of Kingston, in county of Surrey, 2 miles S.W. of Kingston-upon-Thames, its post town. It includes the hamlet of Talworth. The South-Western railway passes near the village, and the Lambeth water-works are situated partly in this parish."
