"GREAT COMBERTON, a parish in the hundred of Upper Pershore, in the county of Worcester, 2 miles S. of Pershore, its post town, which is a station on the West Midland railway, and 3 from the Eckington station of the Great Western line. It is situated under Bredon Hill on the river Avon. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Worcester, value £254, in the patronage of the Rev. C. H. Parker. The church is dedicated to St. Michael. The parochial charities produce about £25 per annum. The tithes were commuted in 1818.
