"UPTON-WARREN, a parish in the upper division of Halfshire hundred, county Worcester, 2½ miles S.W. of Bromsgrove, its post town, and 3¼ N.E. of Droitwich. The village is situated on Upton Brock, near the Birmingham and Gloucester canal and railway. The living is a rectory* [the asterisk denotes that there is a parsonage and glebe belonging to the living] in the diocese of Worcester, value £749. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, was partly rebuilt in 1793. The parochial charities produce about £29 per annum, of which £11 go to Lacy's school."
