The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Grangeford contained the following places:

"GRANGEFORD, (or Grangeforth), a parish in the barony and county of Carlow, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles N.W. from Tullow. Carlow is its post town. The surface consists of good arable land. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Leighlin, value with Urglin, £406, in the patronage of the bishop. It has a Roman Catholic chapel and a daily school.
