Our Lady of the Valley, Darvel, Roman Catholic

It was founded in 1984.

The former “Our Lady of the Valley Church” was originally built by seceders in 1874 and closed in 1927. There were various users of the building until early 1950s when it again lay empty.

Purchased in mid-1960s by Darvel Parish Church and used as a church hall before being sold to the Catholic community and opened by Bishop Maurice Taylor on 25 November 1984.

Since sold for residential occupation.
