The church has/had a graveyard.

The church was constructed in the 12th Century, and extended in the 17th.

Old Parish Registers (OPRs) are available from 1631 (Births), 1653 (Marriages), and 1631 (Deaths).

Sadly, it appears that the early birth record "prior to 1670 has been much wasted by damp and want of care".

The First World War Memorial took the form of a new (1922) door into the church, with an adjacent tablet, inscribed with the names of the fallen, including 3 brothers from the Hay family.
