St Patrick, Aghaloora, Ballintemple, Roman Catholic

A simple rural church of the T-plan type common for Catholic churches of the early 19th century. Although entirely remodelled in the 1950s the church retains its characteristic form and plain pointed openings. The simple building type demonstrates the secondary status of Catholic Church in this period. The church is a key historic building for the local community and commemorative plaques testify to its importance in the social history of the locality.
