It was founded in 1580.
Church Lane
Church History
An ancient parish church, originally serving the townships of Brimstage and Bromborough. It included the chapel of Bromborough Pool: St. Matthew.
The district was affected by the following boundary changes:
- 1869 January 15 — reduced when the township of Brimstage was transferred to Thornton Hough: All Saints.
- 1968 June 7 — alteration to the boundary with Eastham: St. Mary (details not available).
