  • Churton by Farndon was a township in Farndon ancient parish, Broxton hundred (SJ 4255), which became a civil parish in 1866.
  • It includes the hamlet of Sibbersfield (part) and part of Churton village.
  • The population was 117 in 1801, 147 in 1851, 126 in 1901, 109 in 1951, and 146 in 2001.
  • In 2015 the civil parish was abolished and incorporated into Churton.
