COLDRIDGE

"COLDRIDGE, (or Coleridge), a parish in the hundred of North Tawton, in the county of Devon, 10 miles N.W. of Crediton, its post town, and 3 S. of the Eggesford station on the North Devon branch of the South-Western railway. It is situated near the river Taw. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of Exeter, value £142, in the patronage of the bishop. The church, dedicated to St. Diary, is a stone edifice in the perpendicular style. There are schools for boys and girls. The Earl of Portsmouth is lord of the manor.
