Appeared personally William Upcott of the parish of Cullompton in the county of Devon Woollen Merchant one of the executors named in the last Will and Testament of Joseph Pannell formerly of Cullompton aforesaid but late of Dover in the county of Kent gentlemen deceased who died on the third day of November 1844

This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Pannell formerly of Cullompton in the county of Devon but now of Dover in the county of Kent gentleman in manner following 
I bequeath to my niece Sarah Gaul sixty pounds sterling to be paid free from legacy duty or other deductions 
And as to all other my property estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give device and bequeath the same as follows 
one equal fourth part thereof to my brother William Pannell of Cullompton aforesaid 
one other fourth part thereof to the said Sarah Gaul 
one other fourth part thereof to my nephew Charles Pannell 
and the remaining fourth part thereof to my two nieces Charlotte the wife of Charles Turpin and Anne Trump the wife of James Pullin the said last mentioned fourth part to be equally divided between my said two nieces and to be for their sole and separate use independent of their respective husbands and their receipts alone to be good discharges for the same 
I nominate and appoint William Upcott the elder of Cullompton aforesaid woollen merchant and Edward Knocker of Dover aforesaid executors of this my Will he the said Edward Knocker being entitled to make all proper charges as an attorney and solicitor 
And I devise and bequeath to the said William Upcott and Edward Knocker their executors administrators and assigns all estates vested in me upon trust or by way of mortgage subject to the equities affecting the same respectively 
I revoke all other testamentary writings In witness whereof I have here under set my hand this third day of November one thousand eight hundred and forty four
Signed and declared by the said testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names to witness the same having been previously read over to him and which he appeared perfectly to understand
