Estate Duty Office Will of Mary Wingyett (1820)

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary WINGYETT of the City of Exeter Confectioner I give and bequeath unto my Son Joseph Wingyett the sum of five pounds to be paid him within one Month after my Decease I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Jane WINGYETT all the Glass Salvers Weights Scales Counters Drawers Hampers Baskets Trays and Cannisters and the Chest used for keeping Corn pots currently kept in my Shop and Warehouses And also the Brooch given me by Mr. WILKINSON All the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattles effects and personal Estate I give and bequeath unto between and amongst my Children Mary the wife of Richard PAUL James Britnell WINGYETT Charlotte KINGWELL William WINGYETT and Jane WINGYETT and my Grandchildren Mary BASS and Ann BASS daughters of my late daughter Ann BASS in six equal proportions These my said Grandchildren taking only one equal sixth part between them I make nominate and appoint my Son James Britnell WINGYETT Executor of this my Will, revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixteenth day of September One Thousand eight hundred and sixteen

I give on to my Grandson James WINGYETT Plymouth my Gold Watch and Chain and I give on to my Grandson William WINGYETT Exeter Silver Watch with chain as was my Son Charles and I give on to my Son in Law James FORD a Silver Watch which was my Son Matthew's and I give on to my Daughter Jane FORD all the China and Earthenware that is in the House and all the Glass and China that is in the Cubboard in the dining Room and the Blue China that is in the Linen Baskitt and all my Bed Lining Blanketts Quilts and all my Table Lining and all my Clockes Kettles and Washing Tubs and Buckitts I wish my Furnell to be plaine Clockes and Gloves for the Bureall and no one of my Children to have any thing to do with my Furnell but my dear Son James WINGYETT
