In the name of God Amen. This ys the last will and Testament of me Thomas maunder made the Eighte day of September in the yeare of our Lord God One Thowsand Six hundreth and one First I bequeathe my soule into the hands of Allmightie God my maker and redeemer and looke to be saved by none other meanes and my bodie to be buried according to the order of men. Whereas my brother Will[ia]m Maunder doth owe me Fyfteene poundes I freely forgive him Tenne pounds thereof, And thother Fyve poundes I geve unto my sister Margery North or to her heires. Item I geve unto my brother Silvester Maunder dwelling in Exeter Tenne poundes. Item I geve unto the poore Inhabitants of Blettso Twentye shillings. Item I geve unto my godson Maunder Lanckton Twenty shillinges. Item I geve unto John Maskall his sonne of Thurly towardes his trayning upp at schole Twenty shillings. Item I geve unto Margaret Ridge Twentye shillings. Item I geve unto ursula Latham Tenne shillings. Item I geve to the maides of the washe howse and dayrie Twenty shillings. Item I geve unto Lamberd Coop… and Smarte in the kitchen Twenty shillings. Item I geve unto Will[ia]m Sherley Twenty shillings. Item to Charles Horsley I geve Twenty shillings. Item I doe freely forgive Symon Latham the Fowre and Fortie shillings which he oweth me. Item that whereas there is owing unto me by my lord Oliver Sainte John that now is by the guifte of my Lord John S[ain]t John late deceased the some of Twentye pounds I doe freely forgive him Tenne poundes thereof in hope that his lordshipp will pay unto my Executor the Tenne pounds before specified. Whereof I geve unto Will[ia]m Norris Will[ia]m Hall, Fraunces Johnson and Thomas Geyton, And Will[ia]m Croxton Tenne shillings a peece when this Tenne pounds is payd to my Executors by my lord. And all the rest of my goodes unbequeathed and my funeralls discharged I geve unto John Barber & Edward Cooper whome I do make the Executors or this my last will and Testamente In wytnes whereof I have set to my hand and seale this Eighte day of September in ye Three and Fortith yeare of the raigne of our soveraigne Ladie Elizabeth by the grace of God Queene of England Fraunce and Ireland defender of the fayth &c T:h M. I Thomas Maunder doe acknowledge myself to be indebted unto Nicholas Hunte of St Cornelius in Cornewall the some of Thirtie Three poundes. Sealed and delivered in the p[rese]nce of Theophilus Fitzharry    Thomas Hall.
