A rate made the 20th day of June 1760 by Luke Pearse and   
Richard Fford churchwardens James Hamlyn and Richard Ford   
overseers of the poor by and with the assent of two of His   
Majestys Justices of the Peace of the County of Devon both of   
the Quorom for the relief of the poor of the parish of Holne   
according to the statudes in that care made and provided and we   
humbly desire to be allowed to collect Seven fold.£sd
