Will proved 14 August 1821 in the Registry of the Archdeanery of Exeter by Richard Chave Senr. of Halberton, Gentleman

The last Will and Testament of Mr Richard Chave of Lower Coombe in the parish of Uplowman in the County of Devon dated this fifteenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty one.

I hereby give and bequeath to my youngest son John Chave six hundred pounds and the remainder of my personal property which may arise from the sale of my household goods stock etc to be divided between my two other children Mary and Richard Chave first deducting the expenses of my funeral and proving this Will also all my legal debts should any exist. 

I also hereby appoint and nominate Mr Richard Chave Senr of the parish of Halberton to be my Executor in Trust

I also hereby will that the Sale of my Effects should take place at any time or place when or where the above mentioned Richard Chave as my Executor in Trust may think proper
