The last Will and Testament of Richard Chave of Lower Coombe in the parish of Uplowman in the county of Devon dated this fifteenth day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty one 
I hereby give and bequeath to my youngest son John Chave six hundred pounds 
And the remainder of my personal property which may arise from the sale of my household goods stock etc to be divided between my two other children Mary and Richard Chave first deducting the expense of my funeral and proving this my Will also all my legal debts should any exist 
I also hereby appoint and nominate Richard Chave son of the parish of Halberton to be my executor in trust I also hereby will that the sale of my effects should take place at any time or place when or where the above Richard Chave as my executor in trust may think proper Richard Chave

On the 14th of April 1828 admon with the will annexed of the goods chattels and credits of Richard Chave the younger late of the parish of Uplowman in the county of Devon gent decd was granted to Richard Chave the son and one of the residuary legatees named in the said Will having been first sworn by comon duly to serve Richard Chave the father and sole executor survived but died without taking probate of the said Will
