"TUNWORTH, a parish in the upper half of Basingstoke hundred, county Hants, 3½ miles S.E. of Basingstoke, its post town, and 6 S.W. of Winchfield. The soil is fertile, upon a substratum of chalk. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Winchester, value £150. The church, dedicated to All Saints, has been thoroughly restored, with the addition of two painted windows. "
