"PUTLEY, a parish in the hundred of GREYTREE, county of HEREFORD, 5 miles (W.) from Ledbury, containing 163 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £3. 18. 4., and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Hereford.
