  • For consistency this is placed in column 3 in the transcription even though its position varied in the original as follows.
  • On the original this was column 3 on Pages 1,2
  • It became column 10 on Page 3.
  • It was omitted on Pages 4 and 5.

2. Where there is a blank in Column 1 this indicates that the family was living with the next one in which a figure appears in the column.
eg. on Page 1 Rayner Wm and Edwd Goulty are in the same house as Wid: Howlett.

3. On Page 1 it is assumed that WAITES and RAYNER are surnames.
