KNEETON Baptism

Entry 155: 8 Mar 1863 Vessey twin son of Andrew & Alice SHIPMAN baptised. Father a labourer of Kneeton. The following note appears with the entry:
The brother died on the 7th March a few hours after his birth before he could be baptised or any information was given me of the event. Signed R. R. RAWLINS

Entry 156: 3 Apr 1863 Sarah Rachel dau. of Joseph and Rachel WRIGHTON on a visit to John KIRKLAND of Kneeton. Father shown as Butler to Sir George PHILIIPS Bart. of Weston House Warwickshire near Shipston on Stour Worcestershire.

Entry 177: 5 Aug 1866 Coralina the daughter of John & Maria SMITH from Old Dalby in the County of Leiceseter. Father a gypsy horse dealer.
NB - the above parents were travelling from Newark on Trent to their home at Old Dalby on Thursday 2nd instant; when they stopped for the night, with their van; in thefield, on the side of the Foss Road in this parish (Kneeton); rented by Mr William FREAR of Flintham. It was about 4 oclock pm when the birth occurred and on this day being Sunday, the child was brought to the Church by its sponsors for full baptism, which Rite I then duly administered.
