"KENLEY, a parish in the hundred of Condover, county Salop, 4 miles W. by N. of Much Wenlock. The village, which is small and wholly agricultural, is situated about 4 miles from the river Severn. The soil in some parts is rocky and bad, embracing the Lawley and Caradoc hills, and the celebrated Wrekin. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lichfield, value £119.
