"STRATFORD ST. ANDREW, a parish in the hundred of Plomesgate, county Suffolk, 3½ miles S.W. of Saxmundham, its post town, and 6 from Framlingham. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich, value £137. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. Ranulph do Glanville, the famous justiciary of England in the reign of Henry II., was born here."
