"ANGERSLEIGH, a parish in the hundred of Taunton and Taunton-Dean, in the county of Somerset, 4 miles to the S.W. of Taunton. It is situated near the chalk ridge called Black Down. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £111, in the patronage of the rector. The church is dedicated to St. Michael."
