"BLYMHILL, a parish in the west division of the hundred of Cuttlestone, in the county of Stafford, 5 miles to the N.W. of Brewood. It lies on the border of Shropshire, not far from Watling Street. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lichfield, of the value of £560, in the patronage of the Earl of Bradford. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The parochial charities, which include a small bequest for education, amount to £6 a year. The village is a meet for the Albrighton hounds."
