"EDVIN-LOACH, a parish in the hundred of Doddingtree, county Worcester, 3 miles N. of Bromyard. Hops are cultivated in this neighbourhood. There is no village, only a few farmhouses. The living is a rectory* [the asterisk denotes that there is a parsonage and glebe belonging to the living] in the diocese of Hereford, value with the rectory of Tedstone-Wafer annexed, £156. The church is an ancient stone structure. The tithes have been commuted for a rent-charge. There are some traces of an ancient British encampment."
