"SOUTH LITTLETON, a parish in the hundred of Upper Blackenhurst, county Worcester, 1 mile S.W. of North Littleton, and 4 miles N.E. of Evesham. It is the property of the Earl of Coventry. The village is small and wholly agricultural. The tithes were commuted .for land and corn rents under an Act of Enclosure in 1811. The impropriation belongs to the Dean and Canons of Christchurch, Oxford. The living is a perpetual curacy* [the asterisk denotes that there is a parsonage and glebe belonging to the living] in the diocese of Worcester, value with that of Middle Littleton annexed, £258, in the patronage of Christchurch, Oxford. The church, dedicated to SS. Mary and Nicholas, is a stone edifice of the Gothic order, now in a decayed state. The charities amount to £16 annually. There is a National school.
