62. HESSLE ROAD. Congregational chapel built 1875-7 at cost of £6,500. Red brick Gothic building designed by Samuel Musgrave. Seating for 900. Closed 1949. Used by an amateur theatre group until 1954. Demolished by 1964. Petrol station on site. [The Lost Churches and Chapels of Hull]
