92. ARGYLE STREET. Wesleyan chapel built 1895 at cost of £5,500. Designed by W.A. Gelder in Romanesque style with seating for 1000. Red brick with terracotta details. Clsoed 1959 and demolished by 1964. Site now a walled yard adjoining the former schoolroom added in 1910 to designs of Gelder and Kitchen which survives. [The Lost Churches and Chapels of Hull]
