The parish is partly bordered by the river Bann, and a large portion of Lough Neagh is included within the limits; several islands in the lough belong to this parish. The church was erected partly by means of a loan from the late Board of First Fruits in 1785. There are four or five day and a Sunday school. This parish is the property of Lord Lurgan, of Brownlow."
