In 1868, the parish of Bohillane contained the following places:

"BOHILLANE, (or Bohalan), a parish in the barony of Imokilly, in the county of Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles from Castlemartyr. The living is a suspended benefice in the diocese of Cork, Ross, and Cloyne, and in the patronage of the bishop of the diocese. There is no parish church.
