The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilmoney contained the following places:

"KILMONEY, a parish in the barony of Kerrycurrihy, county Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles S.W. of Monkstown. Cork is its post town. The surface lies along the bank of the river Ownaboy. The soil is good. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Cork. There is a Roman Catholic chapel united to that of St. Bridget, and two day schools. Kilmoney House is the principal residence."
