In 1868, the parish of Kilquane B contained the following places:

"KILQUANE, a parish in the barony of Barrymore, county Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 7 miles N.E. of Cork. Rathcormack is its post town. It is 3 miles long by 1 mile broad, and contains the village of Gogginstown. The surface, which is mountainous, is traversed by the road from Cork to Dublin. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cork, value with Killaspugmullane, £522, in the patronage of the bishop. There are three day schools."

"GOGGINSTOWN, a village in the parish of Kilquane, barony of Barrymore, county Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, a short distance from Watergrassmill."

"KNOCKRAPA, a hamlet in the barony of Barrymore, county Cork, Ireland, 4 miles S. of Watergrassmill."
