The church had a graveyard, which was in use until 1765. According to the Topographical Dictionary of Ireland by Samuel Lewis, by 1837 only one solitary stone remained to mark the site of the churchyard at Craigavad, and the site was then already under cultivation.
Craigavad was the site of an ancient Church which closed long ago (though the graveyard was still in use until about 1765). According to the Topographical Dictionary of Ireland by Samuel Lewis, by 1837 only one solitary stone remained to mark the site of the churchyard, and the site was then already under cultivation.
Another source stated that the foundations of the church then remained in a rocky field which lay between Craigavad House and the lough, and beside which stood a solitary tombstone. The area is currently occupied by the Royal Belfast Golf Club.
