The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Balscaddan contained the following places:

"BALSCADDAN, a parish in the barony of East Balrothery, in the county of Dublin, province of Leinster, Ireland, 1 mile from Balbriggan. The river Naul runs near the village. The living is a vicarage of the value of £58, in the diocese of Dublin, Glendalagh, and Kildare, in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Christ Church, Dublin."
