The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Drimnagh contained the following places:

"DRIMNAGH, a parish or chapelry in the barony of Uppercross, in the county of Dublin, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles S.W. of Dublin. It is situated on the Grand canal, and the road from Dublin to Naas. The living together with several others forms the union of Clondalkin, in the diocese of Dublin. The church is a mere ruin. Drimnagh Castle was formerly the mansion of the Barnewalls; it is now the seat of the Marquis of Lansdowne."
