The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Trory contained the following places:

"TRORY, a parish in the baronies of Lurg, Magheraboy, and Tirkennedy, county Fermanagh, province of Ulster, Ireland, 2 miles N. of Enniskillen, its post town. The surface consists of a good soil, with a small proportion of bog. The parish is traversed by the river Erne, which is here crossed by a bridge, built in 1817. The living is a curacy in the diocese of Clogher, value £177, in the patronage of the Incumbent of Devenish. The church was built in 1778. There is a meeting-house for Wesleyans, five schools, and a Sunday-school. The chief residence is Rockfield."
