In 1868, the parish of Ballynakill K contained the following places:"BALLYNAKILL, a parish in the barony of Killian, in the county of Galway, province of Connaught, Ireland, 5 miles from Castleblakeney. The living is a rectory forming part of the union of Moylough, in the diocese of Tuam, Killala, and Achonry."
