In 1868, the parish of Clonbern contained the following places:

"CLONBERN, a parish in the barony of Ballymoe, in the county of Galway, province of Connaught, Ireland, 6 miles to the N.E. of Tuam. The surface has much bog, and contains parts of loughs Mackeeran and Doo. It is traversed by the road from Ballinamore to Dunmore. Bracklintown is the principal village. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Tuam, value with Kilkerrin, £417, in the patronage of the bishop. There are ruins of four castles in this parish. The mansions are Clonbern House and Park Lodge."

"BRACKLINTOWN, a village in the parish of Clonbern, and barony of Ballymoe in the county of Galway, province of Connaught, Ireland, 12 miles to the W. of Ballynamore."
