KILNABRONOGUE, or KILMALANOGUE, a parish, in the barony of LONGFORD, county of GALWAY, and province of CONNAUGHT, 3 miles (N. E.) from Portumna, on the road to Eyrecourt; containing 988 inhabitants.

It is a vicarage, in the diocese of Clonfert, forming part of the union of Clonfert; the rectory is partly appropriate to the see, and partly to the vicarage.

The tithes amount to £71. 10. 91/4., of which £17. 17. 81/4.

is payable to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, and £53. 13. 1. to the vicar. In the R. C. divisions it is part of the union or district of Portumna. In the adjoining parish of Clontuskert is a convent of Dominican friars, at Boulas, who superintend a school of about 300 children.
