In 1868, the parish of Ballinvoher contained the following places:

"BALLINVOHER, a parish in the barony of Corkaguiny, in the county of Kerry, province of Munster, Ireland, 16 miles to the E. of Dingle. It is situated on the northern coast of Dingle Bay, under the Slievemish mountains, which run along the middle of the peninsula between Tralee Bay and Dingle Bay. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Limerick, Ardfert, and Aghadoe, of the value of £189, in the patronage of the bishop.
