In 1868, the parish of Killahan contained the following places:

"KILLAHAN, (or Killaghin), a parish in the barony of Clanmaurice, in the county of Kerry, province of Munster, Ireland, 6 miles N.N.E. of Ardfert. Tralee is its post town. The surface is moorish and cold. The head waters of the river Brick drain it towards the N., and Ardfert and Listowel traverse it in the E. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Ardfert and Aghadoe, value with Kilflyn, £271. There is a police station.
