The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Castle Dillon contained the following places:

"CASTLE-DILLON, a parish in the barony of South Salt, in the county of Kildare, province of Leinster, Ireland, 5 miles to the E. of Clare. It is situated on the banks of the river Liffey. The living is a rectory forming part union of Celbridge, in the diocese of Dublin, Glendalagh, and Kildare."
